OVERALL we LOVE Spring Fashion!

I remember a time when overalls were really popular. The only way to look cool while wearing them was to have one of the straps clipped and the other hanging free, and if you wanted extra (non existing) fashion points a nice acid wash would do the trick!

Well they are coming back again, but don't worry, it's not the look from 1996 we loved remember. I have compiled ways to wear them for an everyday casual look, or a day at work!

Just because you're wearing overalls, doesn't meant they HAVE to be denim. Switching up the fabrics allows a trendy look even at the office!

Also keep an eye out this season for color! Color! Color!

Festival Fashion to Wear all Spring SXSW Edition!

Saturday ended the first music festival of the season, South by South West, where the  fashion was nothing short of inspiring for the upcoming season!

What to look out for this time of the year:

  • Breezy Sundresses-the light and loose fit is perfect for a warm sunny day.
  • Bright Sunglasses -working in neon shades, a great way to add color!
  • Tie Dye Tanks -a nod to the original music festival Woodstock '69
  • Fringed Bags -especially a cross body bag, easy to wear, hands free, light to carry
  • Flower Hair Flair-a simple accessory we are going to be seeing a lot of this Spring.
  • Ankle Boots-not just for winter, they look adorable with shorts too!
  • Straw Hats- not only great for sun protection, but a HUGE trend this season
  • Printed Rompers-whether you're attending a festival or flea market, these are casual and can be worn anytime.

I know what you're thinking. Where are on Earth can I find these looks and how can I wear them? Well my little fashionistas, now you can get these looks for less!!

It's the Little Things That Count...

I'm a sucker for accessorizing. I always say "A great handbag, the right amount of jewelry, and the perfect pair of shoes can be the difference between ordinary clothes, and a show stopping ensemble!"  I think skinny jeans are a basic go-to, however let's say you don't feel like squeezing into your tight jeans (they don't call them skinny for nothing)...it's no problem! It's okay to rock a pair of opaque tights, or a thick legging. Not only does it meet your fashion needs but it's extremely comfortable. My favorite way to wear them is with combat boots, just like these awesome suede Ferragamo boots. (Price$85 at DoubleTake; Retail $225)

Take advantage of the fact that it is Fall! It does have its perks. For instance the brisk weather, the ability to layer, and lets not forget Pumpkin-Spice lattes! You have your pants, and your boots, now you just need a top. I think a plaid shirt is the perfect way to go. Big checks, little checks, blue, green, red any form of plaid works to pull off effortless style and comfort. Free People happens to know their way around this topic and that is what makes them my favorite!

Now you're just a couple steps away from your complete look! Let's add the finishing touches...

I just ADORE Rebecca Minkoff not just because of the mid price point, or the fact that her bags are remarkable, I could go on forever. It is ideal for someone who is on a budget (but likes to splurge on just the right piece) especially when being purchased on consignment for a quarter of the retail price. Only $205, what a bargain! (This bag is a current style which can still be found on the Rebecca Minkoff website retailing at $550.)

Look at you in your awesome trendy Fall show stopping outfit! It was simple, easy and fun. Did I mention a money saver? Now that you have some extra cash, go show off your new look on line at your local overpriced coffee shop.
